Today, October 11th, at 16:30, the Butler Volunteer Fire Company was honored to present a retired helmet and several apparatus photographs to Mission BBQ of Hunt Valley as a token of our appreciation for their continued support for first responders. Firebox 60-09
1st Lieutenant Jake Paulsen, August 17
At Approximately 2300 hours on August 16th, Station 49 and surrounding stations were alerted for Firebox 60-09. TSU-491 responded to assist. E60 arrived to find a 50-50 large open controlled burn. Command scaled the incident down to the units on scene TSU491 remained on scene to assist with water supply. Due to the burn ban in effect units on scene began extinguishing the fire. Just as a reminder, make sure to have a fire extinguisher handy next to the grill this 4th of July. Also make sure to keep any open flames away from combustable materials. Also, be sure to point any fireworks in a safe direction, as they can ignite dry brush, trees, or even your home.

Company Training Exercise

Tonight, April 16th, members of the Butler Volunteer Fire Company met for pump training on Tanker Support 491. The purpose of this training is to help new drivers learn and understand the in and out of each unit within our station.
